you can test
An ad gets tested, not debated. Several versions in one session: different hooks, different backgrounds, different lengths. So you can test instead of guess.

A single ad tells you very little.
Anyone commissioning an ad rarely needs an ad. Performance comes out of variants: the same thought in five versions, three hooks, two lengths. And variants only happen when a shoot is not a separate project every time.
Why the first three seconds decide everything
An ad does not get watched — it gets scrolled past, or it does not. What happens in the first three seconds sets the rest of the numbers, and it is the part that is cheapest to swap out, provided the shoot was built for it.
So hooks are not written, they are tested. Five openings on the same version, put out live, and after a week you know more than any amount of discussion beforehand told you.

Shoot once, run as often as you like
In front of eight metres of greenscreen you record one version and build as many as you want to test out of it: another background, another language, another market. One shooting day replaces a quarter's worth of location scouting.
Two cameras run in parallel, so the wide and the close-up come from the same take. For hooks that means several openings without resetting the scene. How the studio is set up →

Ad, product video, brand film — which and when
An ad is meant to trigger an action and lives on repetition and testing. A product video explains and gets searched for rather than served. A brand film pays into the brand and is rarely tested, because there is nothing to optimise.
The most expensive mistake is shooting one and expecting the other: a brand film in an ad account burns budget, and a performance clip on the homepage looks cheap.
What an ad production costs
The cost driver is not the shoot but the number of setups. Rebuild location, lighting and props for every variant and you pay for every variant in full. Shoot them in one place on one day and you pay for the build once.
Which is why a test set only starts to pay above a certain volume — and from there is considerably cheaper than spots produced one at a time. What a shooting day costs here →

5 out of 5 stars
Exceeded my expectations by some way — the studio is a place where you feel at home immediately, and Sven, Dennis and their team make that very easy. A thoroughly modern shooting location with a great atmosphere.

Quick answers
Do you also run the ads?+
No. We produce the material — running it is down to you or your agency.
How many variants can we manage?+
That depends on the script. Four hours is usually enough for several hook variants.
Do I need actors?+
Whoever stands in front of the camera, you bring — your team, a booked creator or yourself. We do not place actors.
